So you want a player that supports this site, but you don't want to use the Newgrounds player which is specifically made for this site?
Most of the problems with the Newgrounds player has been fixed. If you are having issues then try these steps:
1. Completely uninstall the NG Player.
2. Go here: https://www.newgrounds.com/flash/player
3. Download Version 1.0.7 (Click it in the version history, don't use the "Click here to download the installer." button).
4. Install and have the "Use Newgrounds Player for Flash" option enabled in your account settings.
Then you should be able to use it for most submissions that use Flash.
But if you really want an alternative, then I have two suggestions:
1. Use the Flash Forwarder Tools by Sonucais. It's an exe that does not need installation. Here's a link: https://sonucais.newgrounds.com/news/post/1161855
From my experience, you can play Flash submissions just fine with this but you will NOT get the medals. You can get medals if you use the NG Player though.
2. Use Ruffle. Ruffle emulates flash right in your browser, no installation or downloads needed. Go to your account settings and enable "Use Ruffle Flash emulation, if possible". Any Flash submission is supported by ruffle should automatically use it. If a Flash submission isn't supported by Ruffle, then you can force Ruffle emulation by adding this to the end of the address bar "/format/flash?emulate=flash.
